EJ JordanEJ Jordan loudspeakers have been bringing natural sound to music lovers worldwide for 40 years. EJ Jordan Ltd is a small independent company based in the lovely countryside of England’s Lake District. Their technology is advanced, refined and exclusive. The latest EJ Jordan loudspeaker is the Marlow, a compact design that is traditional in appearance but very modern in technology. It uses their unique Jordan Eikona full-range drive unit and a beautiful, BBC-inspired cabinet to produce a sound that is engaging, immersive and – above all – musical. Instruments of musicThey have a 70-year legacy of loudspeaker research – a claim that few other manufacturers can make. Their founder, renowned loudspeaker engineer Ted Jordan, published his first article on the subject in 1951 and remained at the forefront of loudspeaker development throughout his long career. He pioneered the use of small, metal cone, full-range loudspeakers in the 1960s and we remain convinced of the benefits of this approach today. In 1982, Ted and Denise Jordan formed EJ Jordan Designs to design and manufacture Ted’s unique designs. The company began in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, before relocating to the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. In 2016, after Ted’s passing, the company relocated to England’s Lake District and became EJ Jordan Limited. Today they continue his legacy of bringing natural sound to customers around the world. As you would expect from a company benefits from some of the UK’s loveliest scenery, EJ Jordan endeavours to minimise its environmental impact, with all production kept as close to home as possible. The Marlow and Marlow CE are entirely hand-crafted in England, with all components (apart from US-made Kimber TC cable) sourced in Britain or Europe. Their Eikona full-range drive unit uses proprietary components made in the UK and the complete speaker is assembled in England.
